This house was projected by Josep
Puig i Cadafalch, and built in 1898. The project was signed by Antoni
Maria Gallisā i Soqué, another architect friend of Puig i Cadafalch.
The house was built for the rich owner of a textile
business Mr. Joaquim Coll i Regās
The faįade show stucco geometric ornaments, colorful
ceramics, forged
iron on windows and a beautiful sculpture "la Filosa" (the spin women) of Eusebi Dalmau over the door.
The interior show a rich decoration based on floral designs, including again the stucco, wood and
glasses on windows, doors and a glass roof. The decoration in forged iron
show different symbols of textile industry.
The size of the house is not too big (less of 10 meters large) but the interior,
carefully designed, appear as a big palace with a magnificent central lounge.
This is the most beautiful Art Nouveau
